2018 Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation Petoskey Area High School State Championship

The 2018 Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation Petoskey Area High School State Championship is Saturday, August 18 – Sunday, August 19 – location CHANGED to Lake Charlevoix out of the Boyne City Ramp.

Accessible tournament waters will be Lake Charlevoix. Lake Michigan is open as of now but boats must meet our minimum requirements to fish it. The youth bass tournament is being held concurrently with the Junior State Championship.

Off-Limits” period prior to the tournament starting August 4 at 6AM until August 16 at 6AM. Anglers, Boat Captains, Coaches, Advisers, or Parents are not permitted on any tournament water for the purpose of locating bass or fishing for bass – No exceptions.

The official practice days will begin at 6AM Thursday, August 16 and will conclude at 5PM Friday, August 17. No Boat Captains, Coaches, Advisers, or Parents are allowed to practice without at least one of the competing anglers in the boat with them. No exceptions.

Anyone found in violation of any Off-Limits period/rules will unfortunately be disqualified from the competition.

The Petoskey Area Visitor’s Bureau – Boyne City is our 2018 High School State Championship title sponsor. Petoskey Area welcomes Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation members to beautiful Boyne City where everyone is sure to have a great time. Please be aware that a fun, family event called Stroll the Streets takes place on Friday evening downtown, and there’s a wonderful Farmers Market on Saturday morning at Veterans Park. Both are a must when visiting the Petoskey area!
