The Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation 2018 Adult State Championship is August 23-25 at Burt-Mullett Lakes in Indian River, Michigan. August 26 is the possible bad weather day.

Registration is by EACH individual angler this year. Registration for Boaters and Co-Anglers is now closed. Deadline was August 1! Registration is still open for Marshals and Volunteers Only! The 2018 State Championship is sponsored by Indian River, Michigan brought by Uncoiled Firearms and Transfers. Online registration is for ALL participants including Pro-Boaters, Co-Anglers, Banquet Guests, Marshals and Volunteers.

Remember the tournament will again be a two-day event. You are required to participate both days or you may not fish the 2019 or the 2020 State Championship. Any member in good standing as of May 1, 2018 may attend the MBN State Championship.

Twenty-one of our members will be moving on to the B.A.S.S. Nation Central Regional Tournament. One boater and one co-angler will advance to the B.A.S.S. Nation Championship.

Registration is $200.00 per boater and $100.00 per co-angler. This includes one meal at the banquet and one meal for the Bar-B-Q on Friday. Registration fees are to be paid via PayPal online (link above), using either a PayPal account or a Debit/Credit Card through PayPal. Should participants wish to bring additional people to the banquet/picnic, the cost will be $16.00 for each additional person. Please fill out the State Championship registration form online as a Guest to Attend the Banquet. Boater and Co-Angler registration ended August 1st. Any boater or co-angler entry forms turned in now will be denied. Marshals and volunteers can still register.

  • Off Limits: The entire Indian River, and 900 feet from the mouth straight out, and 900 feet to the right and left from center of the mouth of Indian River in both lakes will be off limits as of 3:00pm, on August 23, 2018 (see 2018 State Championship REVISED Off Limits and VFW Location Maps for maps).

  • Boater and Co-Angler Registration Deadline: August 1 at 11:59PM (Boater and Co-Angler registration now closed!)
  • Registration Changes: All changes from your original entry must be made when you check in at the banquet by
    5:30PM, not via phone or email.
  • Eligibility:   All Adult Members in good standing as of May 1, 2018
  • Youth Eligibility:   High School and Jr. Bassmaster members who are sixteen (16) years old by December 31, 2018 are eligible to participate as Co-Anglers and compete in the B.A.S.S. Nation Regional Tournament.
  • Early Check-in:   Starting 2:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the banquet hall.
  • Pre-Tournament Registration:   All contestants must attend the banquet. Anglers who are not registered by 5:30PM Thursday at the banquet will not be allowed to fish.
  • Banquet Location: VFW Hall, 4584 S. Straits Hwy, Indian River, MI.
  • Refunds:   Registration/entry fees will NOT be granted for any reason after the registration deadline (August 1, 2018).
  • Club Team Award:   There is NO club team award or pot this year. ALL sign-up is done by the individual anglers.
  • Boater Issues:   If a boater has boat issues, they may continue in a co-angler position, but will maintain his/her boater status including five fish limits for advancement. All other co-angler rules will apply.
  • Big Bass Awards:   Two Big Bass pots each day – one (1) for Boaters and one (1) for Co-anglers. Only one (1) big bass Trophy will be awarded overall for the Tournament.
