Bass Tournaments For Anglers 55 and Over

The Senior Series is a Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation members-only bass tournament trail giving 2-person teams, or individual anglers, 55 years and older their own weekday bass tournament circuit! The entire circuit consists of 5 regular Senior Series tournaments followed by a Senior Championship (for qualified participants – see below)! 80% payback at each event – 20% withheld for the Senior Championship! Note: At this time, we are planning on limiting the number of entries to about 25 Boats for the inland lake tournaments. St. Clair will not have a boat limit.

Senior Series Championship text

$50 Entry Fee for the Championship.
Payout Money will include the 20% withheld from Series Entry Fees as well as the money collected.
To qualify you must fish at least 3 of the Series tournaments.

Tournament Directors: Paul Wagner & Larry Gargus

Teams may consist of One or Two Members. Once a Team is established, those Team Members can not change, but one of them may fish by themselves if they need to.

*Note: Additional Information: The Michigan B.A.S.S. Senior Series is limited to Michigan BASS Nation and qualified MBN Statewide Bass Club ONLY who have already or will turn 55 sometime this season. You must be a Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation member before May 1, 2019 to fish the Series.

Only Money will be awarded as prizes for the first 5 Tournaments.

Plaques and Prize money will be awarded at the Championship.

You can complete your tournament registration right here on the www.michiganbassnation.com web site. Payment in cash only will be taken at tournament check in at each tournament.

Entries will be received up until 15 minutes before the pre-tournament meeting each morning. Tournament check-in starts at 6:00 AM EACH DAY unless otherwise notified. All pre-tournament meetings start at 6:30 AM. BOAT OWNERS MUST PROVIDE A VALID PROOF OF INSURANCE WHEN REQUESTED. It does not need to be sent when registering.

Please go online (link above) and register at least 48 hours before each tournament day. All entries will be taken in CASH ONLY at check-in each tournament morning.

Blast off order will be drawn at the Pre-Tournament Meeting each tournament morning.

SENIOR SERIES

General Series Rules

General rules, make sure you are acquainted with the complete Tournament Rules!

  • Teams may consist of one or two members. All anglers must be at least 55 years old to fish and be a Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation Club or Statewide Bass Club member. You may not fish with a different partner during this series.
  • 5 fish per team limit. You must cull before continuing to fish.
  • 14 inch minimum length, 1 pound penalty per short fish and loss of fish.
  • Dead fish penalty is 4 ounces per dead fish.
  • Late return to check-in is 1 pound per minutes late, DQ after 15 minutes.
  • No trolling allowed.
  • Artificial lures only.
  • Only one (1) rod allowed per angler at a time.
  • No fishing from elevated platforms.
  • Engine cut off switch attached to operator if combustion engine is running.
  • Life jackets on and properly fastened when combustion engine is running.
  • Boaters must provide Proof of Insurance when requested.
  • Practice ceases at 6 PM the day before the tournament.
  • Entry fee is $50 per team (CASH ONLY) for each of the 5 Series tournaments, ($50 entry fee for the Championship to qualified teams).
  • No late entry fee.
  • Entries will be received up until 15 minutes before the Tournament morning meeting.
  • Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation Code of Conduct is always in effect at these tournaments.
