Lake Guntersville, Guntersville, AL

Congratulations to boater Ted Prisbe and co-angler Dan Posey for moving on to the 2019 B.A.S.S. Nation National Championship in early November on Lake Hartwell, South Carolina. They will represent Michigan, and have the opportunity to make a run at qualifying for the 2020 Bassmaster Classic (Lake Guntersville, March 6-8).

Michigan has had previous good fortune on Lake Hartwell. Hartwell was the same lake member Luke Gritter finished 3rd to lock in his seat at the Bassmaster Classic just a few years ago. Go get ’em Ted and Dan!

Day 3 of the 2019 B.A.S.S. Nation Central Regional Championship consisted of the top 38 boaters and top 38 co-anglers, plus a few extra qualifiers added to the field to guarantee each state had at least 2 boaters and 2 co-anglers in the final. After the adjustments Day 3 fielded 48 boats.

Team Michigan qualified five members to fish Day 3 – boaters Ted Prisbe, Marc Snyder and Team Captain Greg Glasser, and co-anglers Dan Posey and Tom Hall. Participants battled changing conditions all week long, and Day 3 was no different. Rain played a part off and on all day Friday.

In the end, Boater Ted Prisbe came out on top for Team Michigan with a Day 3 weight of 17-6 cementing a 6th place finish (47-12 total) for the event. Michigan co-angler Dan Posey finished Day 3 with a weight of 8-9 that gave him a 14th place overall finish for the event. Dan posted a total weight of 25-4 for all three days.

Team Captain and boater Greg Glasser was consistent all week long and fished his heart out. He ended up with a 12th place finish for all three days. His total weight for the event was 43-6. Boater Marc Snyder fished hard all week and finished the event in 22nd place overall with a total weight of 40-7.

Co-angler Tom Hall brought in three fish on Day 3 that totaled 6-8. Tom finished the event in 26th place with a total weight of 22-11.

All five Michigan anglers came in with limits on Day 3.

We’re very proud of the team for their ‘never give up’ attitude all week long. This 2019 Team has a lot to be proud of not only with a 10th place team finish, but also for raising the bar for what teamwork truly means. Congratulations!
