Members of Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation
Dear Friends,

It is a bittersweet day. I am reaching out to all of you today to announce my resignation as President of Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation and as an active board member, effective end of the President’s meeting on October 20, 2019. I have already notified the current M.B.N. board of directors and club officers earlier this week and we are creating a plan of transition.

This was not an easy decision to make, but with increasing responsibilities in my professional career and within my young family, I simply cannot dedicate the needed focus, time, and work to carry out the needed responsibilities as President or a member of the board. The past 4+ years have been very rewarding and I appreciate everyone’s dedication and support to our sport and organization and of course, given the opportunity to lead this organization. I’ve enjoyed working and spending time with all of you and I cannot thank you enough for all of your ideas, suggestions, and kind words that you have expressed. I have learned a bunch from each of you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Looking back, I am most proud of all that we accomplished together. I cannot be prouder of the time, work, and dedication each of you have put into M.B.N. Over the past few years, I have enjoyed all our conversations with so many of you thanking us for some of the changes and adjustments we have made over the past few years. Hearing such comments have, in my mind, validated that the direction we have taken to evolve M.B.N. into a more membership-driven organization has been noticed and appreciated within our membership.

I am confident that if all of you continue to communicate, participate, and work together with our board, you will continue to bring much more to Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation. The more participation we receive from our members, the more we can accomplish together!

Remember that our next presidents meeting on October 20th is a very important meeting! This should be our most attended meeting, but the past few years it hasn’t been. During this meeting nominations and elections will be taking place to determine our next leaders on the M.B.N. board. Along with replacing my seat, there are now 4 open seats. Soon after the new members of the board are determined, board officers will also be determined. I challenge each of you to remind your club president to please try and attend or have your club appoint a member in your club to be in Lansing in person. I also encourage you to communicate with your fellow members over the next few weeks to identify and potentially nominate individuals that are willing to positively contribute to the Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation board of directors.

Thank you all so very much!

I wish all of you the absolute best!

Aaron Litwin
